My Silver Suit

I originally started this suit for Sarah . We were going to a wedding, but I am afraid this suit was too “old lady” for her ( this was several years ago, maybe 6). Anyway, as I made my way through the workshop, the suit caught my eye again. Maybe, I am growing into my “old ladyness”. The different patinas of the material still intrigued me. So, I pushed it into the creative que and the finished product finally emerged. I am most proud of the reverse godetts,
The two toned collar, and the top stitching. These are accomplishments that would have frustrated a younger me. Thanks, maturity! Back to the workshop.

Star time….Christine’s wedding!

Sometimes you get extremely lucky and you can be a contribution as well as get your craft on!  Such was the case with making wedding favors for the lovely Christine.  She was having a synergistic wedding, melding both African and American traditions.  While both cultures offered traditional guidelines of implementation, I wanted to give her something unique to her wedding.

I love making starbooks and I thought that I would like to make the miniaturized version as take aways for these nuptials.  As you can see, we were both happy with the results.
